Irresistible... Irresistibile

Pincushions, needle books and scissor fobs are the sort of projects I seem to produce in enormous quantities. They are quick projects, and it's fun to play with the designs - adding a ribbon, some buttons or pretty pins. This pincushion is a freebie by The Little Stitcher. You can find it here. I used the chart that was meant for the needle book and stitched it on some dark pinkish linen. You should get a glimpse of the fabric used for the back, loosely rolled up behind the pin keep. As usual, I filled it with tiny scraps of fabric and threads. I like how this filling makes pincushions 'heavier' and well stuffed. Besides, it's re-cycling!

Puntaspilli, porta-aghi e trova forbici sono il genere di progetti che non riesco a non produrre in quantità industriali. Sono progetti rapidi, ed è divertente giocare un po' con i disegni - aggiungendo un nastro, qualche bottone o qualche spillo carino. Questo puntaspilli è un free di The Little Stitcher. Lo potete trovare qui. In realtà ho usato lo schema per il porta-aghi e l'ho ricamato su del lino rosa scuro. Nella foto si vede un po' della stoffa usata per il retro: è il pezzetto arrotolato dietro il puntaspilli. Come sempre, l'ho riempito con minuscoli avanzi di stoffa e fili. Mi piace la 'pesantezza' che questa imbottitura regala al puntaspilli, rendendolo bello pieno. E poi, è un modo per riciclare! Buona domenica
