Cute owl... Gufo simpatico

I saw the pattern for this cute owl on Ravelry and knew I had to crochet one straight away. The pattern is very well explained and includes loads of photos in case one needs more help. It's a quick project for a lazy afternoon, and perfect as a key chain!

Quando ho visto lo schema per questo gufetto su Ravelry ho capito subito che dovevo provarlo. E' uno schema davvero facile e molto ben spiegato, pieno di foto in caso serva un aiutino in più. Ed è velocissimo, adatto ad un pomeriggio di relax e perfetto per le chiavi di un piccolo lucchetto!

SAL part10... Parte 10 del SAL

Time to start the fourth and last row of our SAL. And to stitch... numbers! I combined cross stitch and Algerian eye stitch for this box. One big heart, two snowy mountains and three large cross-stitches!

E' ora di iniziare la quarta ed ultima riga del nostro SAL. E di ricamare... i numeri! Per questo riquadro ho combinato punto croce e punto stella (o occhio algerino). Un grande cuore, due montagne innevate e tre enormi crocette!

Scissors fob... trova-forbici

I know I have plenty, but I have so many embroidery scissors I guess I can do with one more fob! This one was a spur-of the-moment thing. I was browsing through a very good book called "Point complices du point de croix" by Monique Lyonnet. I bought it years ago and every time a open it I seem to find new ideas. This time it was a pattern alternating cross-stitch and star stitches. All models in the book use only red and white threads on natural linen (beautiful) but I wished to try something different so went for different shades of primary colors. I love the effect. It's amazing how different embroidery looks when you simply change the color of your threads. I am afraid the photo is a bit overexposed, colors are much brighter in real life :)

Lo so, ne ho già una valanga ma ho anche tante forbici quindi l'ennesimo trova-forbici tornerà sicuramente utile! Questo è stato un po' un'ispirazione del momento. Stavo sfogliando un bel libro di Monique Lyonnet, "Point complices du point de croix". L'ho comprato anni fa e ogni volta che lo apro scopro qualcosa di nuovo. Questa volta mi sono fatta tentare da un pattern alternato di punto croce e punto stella. Gli esempi sul libro sono ricamati in bianco e rosso su lino naturale (splendidi), ma avevo voglia di qualcosa di diverso quindi ho scelto sfumature diverse di colori primari. L'effetto mi piace molto. E' incredibile come un ricamo cambi semplicemente variando le sfumature di colore. Mi spiace che la foto sia un po' sovra-esposta, ma pazienza. I colori sono più brillanti nella realtà :)
