How it all started...

Generally speaking, I am not an artistic person. My few attempts at painting never yielded to something anyone in their right minds would hang on a wall. I am not in the least musical, and although my teacher once described me as a "slender, agile and graceful" teenager, I was never in the top list of my ballet school. Never been good at crafts either. My Nan tried to teach me crochet when I was a kid, but gave up after realizing how good I was at making knots. My Mum had to finish my first embroidery kit at school, else I would have been the only kid in my class unable to complete her assignment. My Aunt, a clever seamstress, looked in horror at my attempts when I tried to create a skirt. So why a craft blog? Because some years ago a friend told me that counted embroidery is perfect for dummies. Before I knew it I was hooked and obtained the best of results: plenty of fun!
